HDP condemns Sardar Mengal’s detainment, demands reinstatement of deposed judges

Quetta: Hazara Democratic Party has strongly condemned the detainment of Sardar Akhtar Mengal, a Baloch leader and Chief of Balochistan National Party.

In a statement, HDP leaders expressed deep concerns over the ailing health condition of Sardar Akhtar Mengal condemning non-provision of medical facilities to him in Karachi Jail. It said that Sardar has been detained for more than two years and the government has been targeting him on political basis and his case is being prolonged through a conspiracy. Already the people of Balochistan are in grieve due to the assassination of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and now the government wants to remove another leader from the scene.

HDP leaders also demanded that judiciary should be reinstated and restored to its position before 3rd November and all the deposed judges should be reinstated. HDP fully supports the Black Flag Week call by lawyers.

Party leaders demanded immediate release of Sardar Akhtar Mengal and reinstatement of the deposed judges.
